MVR Series

The Marpa Vacuum MVR series offers one of the most robust roots pump ranges on the market. These dry-running vacuum pumps can be used with a primary pump in all industrial vacuum and fine vacuum processes.

Their main purpose is to allow the vacuum system to operate at a higher pumping speed in finer vacuum ranges and, thus, achieve a better final vacuum level.

A wide range of sizes and versions are available, allowing the flow rate and final vacuum level to be modified to the specific process conditions of each application.

The MVR series has a built-in bypass valve for operating at high differential pressure values. The built-in motor is energy efficient (IE3) and can be adapted to any electrical grid in the world.

Operating principle

Roots vacuum pumps, also called booster pumps, are positive displacement pumps, where two lobes rotate synchronously without coming into contact with each other or the pump casing. Crucially, the interconnected lobes rotate in opposite directions inside the pump casing.

Most of our roots pumps are available with magnetic drive, which eliminates all types of seals that are susceptible to wear and pump leakage, therefore reducing downtime and pump repair costs by a factor of two or even three.

Applications

Roots booster vacuum pumps can be used in all industrial processes where vacuum is required, from atmospheric pressure to 10-5 mbar.
