The Marpa Vacuum MVLR-YS series are two-stage liquid ring compressors. An eccentrically mounted impeller rotates inside a housing that is partially filled with operating fluid. The impeller blades are immersed in the fluid and rotate to exert centrifugal force, forming what is called a liquid ring inside the casing. The eccentric rotation of the impeller varies the fluid volume. Thanks to their efficient structure, these products save large amounts of energy and are extremely low maintenance.
They are generally used to pump gases containing water vapour and dusts. The materials used to build these pumps can be customised to suit your application, from standard carbon steel to grade-316 stainless steel. Thanks to the choice of materials, the MVLR-YS series can also be used to suction corrosive gases or work with corrosive liquids.
The double external mechanical seals guarantee adequate sealing. The MVLR-YS series has a built-in flexible exhaust valve that ensures a discharge pressure between 1 and 3 bar for single-stage compressors and between 3 and 6 bar for two-stage compressors. A tailor-made manual or automatic system, including electrical control system, gas-liquid separator, heat exchanger, condenser, etc., is also available.
